Cousin Tammy & Family

I was also able to spend some time visiting with my cousin Tammy and her Family.  The last time I saw her, she was expecting her first. They are so happy and hope to be coming for a visit some time later this year.

Final Stop - Tennessee

We spent a couple of days recovering our land legs.  I did get the best recipe for Peanut Butter Fudge, thanks to Kathy, Lisa's cousin.  The recipe given was: Vanilla ready to spread Frosting & Peanut Butter, heated, mixed and cooled in a 7x11 pan.  When I made it, I used 28 oz of Peanut Butter and 1 tub of frosting.  It was too much Peanut Butter, so I added a 2nd tub of frosting. This fit into a 9x13 pan. Chill & serve!  You can use chunky peanut butter as well.  My family loved it! Thanks Kathy!!!

Next stop ~ Nauvoo

We are so blessed to be able to include a visit to Nauvoo on our trip. We toured Carthage Jail, the Visitors Center in Nauvoo and went to a play that the Missionaries put on every night, but Sunday, of course. It is hard to describe all the emotions that you feel in this place of such historic events.

The next day we toured some of the old homes and businesses that have been restored.  After a quick bit of lunch, we spent a few moments outside the Nauvoo temple.  We knew that we had better take advantage of being in Nauvoo, so we also attended a temple session.

Road Trip!!

On December 30th, Lisa, my sis, and I went on a Mom's Only road Trip. We left here at 4 AM and drove through Nebraska and ended up in Missouri after 16 hours of driving. Lisa did most of it, but I did a few minutes. I was in charge of the camera. That was not a good idea. I did take a lot of photos and did manage to get a couple of good ones.

Starting The New Year Right

On December 27th, I went though the temple. It was so wonderful that so many of my family and friends were able to be there with me. It was an incredible experience.
